SubSignoff helps contractors collect subcontractor paperwork (certificates of insurance, endorsements, licenses, W-9s, safety documents, bonds and references), check it against each project’s requirements, record review decisions and keep renewals moving.
No. SubSignoff checks the information on the documents you collect against the requirements you set, such as policy types, limits, expiration dates, additional insured and waiver of subrogation. It does not contact insurers to verify coverage, and it is not legal or insurance advice.
No. Subs and their brokers use a private upload link that works on a phone, with no account or password. Every upload waits for your team’s review.
No. Smart Review reads certificates and suggests details such as policy numbers, dates and limits. A person on your team confirms the details and makes every approval decision.
Yes, by email. Reminders with a fresh upload link go to the sub and broker 60, 30 and 7 days before a document expires and again after it lapses. You also get a daily email when something lapses and a weekly list of what expires in the next 30 days.
No. “Cleared to pay” is a readiness status that shows which subs currently meet the requirements you recorded. SubSignoff does not block or release payments, in QuickBooks or anywhere else. Your team decides what to pay.
One active project, one user and unlimited subcontractors, with upload links, requirement checks, renewal reminders, a compliance packet, CSV import and export, and 5 Smart Review credits a month. No credit card required.
Yes. Download a compliance packet per project (an index PDF plus a ZIP of files by sub), CSV subcontractor and readiness reports, any original document, or a full workspace export from Settings.

More questions
Describe the project or pick one of five preset job types, then add the trades. SubSignoff builds the requirement list, and you can edit anything and save it as a template.
Yes. Import your sub list from a CSV file. SubSignoff shows a preview and matches existing subs so you don’t create duplicates.
Yes. A broker link asks only for insurance documents, and a confirmation link lets a broker confirm a certificate you already have. W-9s are never shown on broker links.
Links expire after 14 days by default (you can choose 7 or 30), and you can revoke one at any time.
Yes. Record a sub as working under another sub. The lower-tier company shows with its parent and has its own documents checked.
Free includes 5 a month, Pro 50 and Team 150. Certificate reads and AI job setup draw from the same monthly allowance, and manual entry always works without credits.
Not yet. Requests and reminders go by email today.
Yes. An inspector link opens one project in view-and-download-only mode, is time-limited and can be revoked. W-9s are left out unless you include them for that link.
